Ya know what? I don't think the Inertia we saw in FMA was the real Inertia. I mean, contrast his personality in FMA and Impulse and there's a pretty big difference. One's an angry kid who just needed some better guidance and the other was a raging psychopath. I think the post-Impulse Inertia is a clone given a warped copy of the original's mind.
It would certainly make an interesting story. Thadium Thawne cloning and virtually lobotomizing speedsters in order to get rid of the Allens. What do you think?

Eh...Bart acted completely and utterly different in FMA too...and he wasn't a different clone. Hell the Rogues and Zoom acted completely out of character as well. It's an interesting idea but in all honesty, it's most likely just the terrible writing.

Yeah, it's just a theory really. It's possible that it could be retconned into this, which would make a cool story. Not likely, though. I was just reaching for some in-story reason for it all and... yeah...

That Impulse had a "reversed" rogue like Barry is a good concept, but like Prime said (meant), bad writing is all the difference between some really memorable stories and forgetable, confusing moments like in FMA. I like that you, Gen200, shared your theory with us becasue it shows you're a true fan and you know your plot lines.
