So what do we know so far about Wally,Bart and Jay and a potential second Flash title post-Rebirth?
~We know that Wally will get a new costume in issue #6 of "The Flash:Rebirth", thanks to Ethan Van Sciver.(If you have questions for him send them to GLSpotlight @ gmail.com )
~We know that Wally will STILL be featured in "TITANS" after "The Flash:Rebirth" wraps up in September. We also know(from pages in Adventure Comics #1) that Bart Allen will be returning to the "Teen Titans" lineup along with Superboy.
~We now know that Eric Wallace will be the new ongoing writer for the "TITANS" book with Farbrizio Fiorentino on art.
~We know that Geoff Johns is "planting tentpoles" with The Flash thanks to another tease by Ethan Van Sciver.
~Asked why Superboy is appearing in a title but Kid Flash(Bart Allen) isn't, Van Sciver said, “We're going to make you so happy in Rebirth.”
~Fresh off the first issue of "Cry for Justice", the newly appointed "JLA" writer, James Robinson has stated that "TITANS" will feel the effects of his JLA book. Presumably sometime into Eric Wallace's run.
~We know that Eric Wallace won't be starting on "TITANS" at least until after September. Which means he will most likely not be the one writing the inevitable Wally West one shot(Cyborg, Starfire, and Beastboy have been released or solicited so far). The Flash:Rebirth will be complete by that time so we may see his new costume there.
~We know from Ian Sattler that DC's megaevent "BLACKEST NIGHT" will feature both a "TITANS" miniseries tie-in and a "Flash" miniseries, neither of which will be drawn by Ethan Van Sciver. JT Krul is set to write the "TITANS" mini, while no further information on Blackest Night: The Flash mini has been released.
~We know from the ever so reliable Ethan Van Sciver that Wally's costume will be "one that is familiar to his fans."
~We know that Geoff Johns is no longer writing the Jay Garrick starring "JSA", and will be long term replaced by Bill Willingham and Matt Sturges. Little information has been released of their plans, outside of bringing in a lot of villainous characters.
~We definitely know for sure that the Flash costume seen on Gerry Conway's "The Last Days of Animal Man" is NOT the new costume design by Ethan Van Sciver.
~We know DC Comics has no problem starting a new ongoing. DC is producing several new ongoing titles to start fourth quarter of 2009, including "Red Tornado" and "Magog".
~We know that whenever "The Flash" starts again, it will be Vol. 3 with a new #1
Apparently, we know a lot..enough to fill a page. However what we don't know about the future of The Flash title(s), can fill a book.
