Crisis - wiping the walls with psycho pirate... mostly undocumented time in the future with Iris... A murder trial... plastic surgery on his face after being bashed by Big Sir's mace... will he have his "old face" and old hair color? I don't think they ever dealt with that issue after the trial.

I'd say Crisis on Infinite Earths will probably be his most recent memory. Either that or being in the Speed Force.

definitely crisis since that was when he died but I don't really consider being in the speedforce part of his living memory. It is a very important point though since he appeared to be able to view what was going on outside. If this is the case - he wouldn't need to catch up at all on the continuum as he would have seen it all unfold. Instead, other characters would awkwardly deal with his absence or not having known him at all.

Yeah but if I recall correctly, couldn't Bart remember being in the Speed Force when he came back older?

Actually I think Geoff Johns recently said something like "Barry will be wondering why he was released from the speed force." This says to me that he WILL have memory of being in the speed force.

There was a bit in The Life Story of the Flash that explained that one of the first things they did when Barry and Iris arrived in the 30th century was to restore his original appearance. (I seem to recall that they also retconned Iris' new body into a clone instead of a woman who had just died.)

Barry will have memory of COIE and Final Crisis. They are picking up right where Final Crisis left off. With Barrys return being so sudden, he'll probably wonder why...but I thought that was pretty obvious in FC...but whatever

It's if he'll remembering being in the Speed Force. Or if that was just completely ignored.

I made the point about the speedforce moreso because I'm curious as to whether he "saw" things going on in the world outside the speedforce while he was in there... It might be a bit confusing coming back to a world post cold war, online cell phones, and wardrobe malfunctions.

It would be interesting if he saw parts, kind of like random segments, of what was going on outside the speeedforce. There would definitely be some good stories in what he saw and what he expected.

Confirmed...
I often have memory issues - but I was pretty sure there was something to my vague recollection of having heard that Barry Allen did in fact observe things going on outside the speedforce. I received my copy of The Flash Companion this past Friday and there in black and white it stated that in DC Universe #0 he narrated observations of the continuum from within the Speedforce... This suggests that might have very little to catch up on and that it is the rest of the world that will have to adjust to him.
