Ah yes, into the nostalgia of our past we go...
Set the Wayback machine to that infamous date in history you were introduced to your first speedster.
My first speedster of course was The Flash...
which flash? Barry Allen
Which Barry Allen, the one from that Flash tv series.
I was born in January of 1987, so I grew up watching many shows that were on tv from 1987 - till now about late in 09' when I kinda stopped watching tv all that much.
If I remember correctly, the flash tv series made the Flash my first superhero in general. Granted, I may have been exposed to any of the superheroes that were also around at the time, but the flash as far as I know is my earliest.
I mean I didn't even know that it was the Barry Allen Flash in that tv series since I hadn't seen or heard about that show since it was first on. The first Flash I can remember by name, was Wally West from the DCAU the Justice League show.
Many people might not like Geoff Johns for when he had one to this character or that character, or what he might have helped do to anything in the DC genre. But thanks to him I got back in touch with my DC days. Which got me back into the green lantern genre and also The Flash as well. I love the GLC stuff, but I also love the flash.
So naturally a Blue Lantern Barry Allen as the Flash is awesome, only made further more awesome by the fact that Barry Allen as The Flash not only was my first flash...but may have been my first superhero ever.
BTW, the Wally West flash on the Justice League cartoons is the guy who plays Lex Luthor in the Smallville series. In one episode, the lex luthor of the justice league cartoons and wally west swapped bodies. It was the first time that actor got to do that "lex" voice in the cartoon, as far as I know he said he had a blast doing it.
What made me join this site was a dream I had, I was in a darkened street at night (I think in coastal city during BN), barry allen as the blue lantern told me to run. I picked my self off the street corner I had apparently been lying face down at, my closes were kinda damaged (from an explosion I think). As I ran my movements began to blur, kinda like how you watch something moving at high speed but you're seeing it in the slowmo replay. I am not sure who the voice of the blue lantern barry allen was...but I think it was the guy who plays lex on smallville.
Sorry if this was rather long, but it all tied together, so I thought it'd be best to explain why I started this thread.
So now that I shared my story about my first speedster, and how it brought me to join this site...Who was your first speedster?
