I never thought I'd see the day when this issue would actually come out . Covers are sweet, especially love the Max and Bart one. Issue looks pretty good.

Oh Eobard, you scamp.
I know with a sliding timeline that characters' looks have to be updated and redone to look more modern, but it really weirds me out to see Barry's mom as a hip modern youngish woman.

Okay, I've finally had time to re-read the first four issues and give this one a second pass. So how does it stack up? Very well, actually. Barry's solved his cold case. Zoom's not only ruthless, but petty and vindictive as well. The changes to the other characters work: breaking up the twin dynamic will simplify Wally's sidekicks (and set up potential supporting cast stories), and it's good to see Iris take a step toward her destiny (though it'll take me a while to warm up to her using the Impulse identity). The main thing I didn't like about this book is that it really feels like the story itself is less important than shifting characters around. I'm looking forward to reading a Flash story that's actually a story and not just setup for the real story. Full review here.

So Professor Zoom when through the trouble of going back in time... to push twelve-year-old Barry down the stairs. That's just hilarious!

Yeah when I read that part, I was just like "Thawne's a dick." Overall, I really enjoyed the issue. Really like Wally's outfit. A good modernized version of the one he got in #50. I'm okay with Irey becoming Impulse but I don't love it. I also liked the mention of Hunter too. Oh and I'm so happy that the death of Barry's mother wasn't just a strange Geoff-Con.

The art wasn''t worth the delay.

The art wasn''t worth the delay. Agreed. With that huge delay, we should have been seeing the greatest comic art in history but nope...we got good art with hardly and backgrounds
