Just curious if these delays for Rebirth are effecting anyone's excitement for The Flash and Kid Flash series? Not really for me, just making me a bit irritated.

Not affecting me in terms of the monthlies but rather about Rebirth #6 and BN The Flash #1.

Asking the question here wouldn't effectively give you a useful sample for a survey. Anyone that comes to this site is likely to buy the issue even if their excitement has turned to anger...
On the other hand, I recall a number of people walking out of my local comic shop with only a copy of Flash Rebirth #1 in their hands the day it came out. One in particular stood out because he had to be in his late 60's. Anyone that may have been drawn back to DC or comic books in general just because Barry is back may be reaching a threshhold - if not already well beyond uninterested.

Still going to buy the series, but after this newest delay, I'm a little weary of picking up the next EVS mini.

DC needs to make him sit down and work, or face some kind of penalty for it. Either that, or plan things better so the series isn't solicited until it's completely or almost finished.

Has anyone conclusively stated that the delays are directly because EVS is producing fast enough? I know that GL: Rebirth had delays that were attributed to him - but I haven't read any statement by DC or EVS that this the case with Flash. Of course, I could have easily missed it. The delays really do piss me off since Barry Allen is my all time favorite character and this series was actually a big deal to me - but if EVS isn't the cause of the rescheduling, he shouldn't be taken to the woodshed. If it is him - someone should remind him how much incredible talent is out there dreaming for the opportunity afforded him.

DiDio was making joking comments about EVS being the cause of the delay at Fan Expo. I guess I couldn't say he is for sure, but he also has a history of it.

No, these delays haven't diminished my excitement over the new monthlies but they have irritated me. Given how much has been said over the level of Johns' planning and control over these storylines, I find these delays hard to understand. To me, this seems attributable to DC Editorial. They need to do a better job in scheduling these minis.
Especially since this is supposed to be the grand re-start of the franchise. These delays give the impression of a ....slow start.

i saw that EVS did a variant for Blackest Night #4. It makes me wonder whether DC gives a crap about the Flash brand name at all. If EVS is the hold up they clearly know stacking more things on top of him won't make things go any faster. It almost feels as if they've given up on Rebirth. With all the false starts in the past few years and banking on the new angle with Barry - you'd think they would have learned a few things.

Do we know for sure that he did the cover after he started Flash: Rebirth, though? I mean, Blackest Night has been in the works for a long time, and EVS was originally going to be heavily involved -- he *left* the project to do Flash: Rebirth, after all.

Okay, this latest delay has done it. My enthusiasm for the new Flash title has been killed. I might buy it, I might not, but these delays are freakin' ridiculous! Kid Flash is a must-buy for me still, simply because Bart is awesome, but I couldn't care less about the main Flash title at this point.

Frankly, I'm still excited for the ongoing but I've lost all faith in EVS. He's a great artist. There's no doubt about that but honestly, if it takes him this long...it's just too much. It's no wonder he's not doing a normal monthly series!

His art is still fantastic. Hopefully, he can increase his productivity but DC has to realize this about him and give him ample room to do the work.

"effect" is a noun. "affect" is the verb.
